My name is Beth Pennington. I am a 26 year old female who began my relationship with Advanced Weight Loss Clinics four months ago.

I have been overweight for most of my life. Even as a child I was prone to overeating. I never played sports so I didn’t get a whole lot of exercise. I spent most of my time watching TV, studying, and of course… eating.

In high school things weren’t much different. My weight didn’t increase very much during my teenage years, but I steadily maintained my overweight status. Food was my outlet for stress and anxiety. If I had a problem, I ate. If I had a heartache, I ate. My road for an unhealthy lifestyle was being paved.

Upon entering college, I soon learned that the “freshman 15” was not how many days it would take me to settle in. The only problem is that my freshman 15lbs went from 15 to 20 to 25 lbs and son on! Walking from class to class was not enough exercise to counteract eating “whatever” and eating it “whenever”. The midnight snacking while pulling an all-nighter, and the 1am trips to fast food restaurants were beginning to take their toll. By the time I graduated college I was heavier than I’d ever been.

Shortly after graduation came marriage. I was heavy when my husband and I met, so obviously he has never had a problem with my weight. He did, however, begin to notice that I was always tired after work and never wanted to do anything more than sit on the couch and sleep. This is when I realized that my weight gain was affecting my health. Doctor visits had never revealed any high blood pressure, cholesterol, or diabetes, but I didn’t want to wait on these health problems to develop either.

It was then that I decided to make a change. After a lot of research and prayer, a friend of mine suggested that I visit an Advanced Weight Loss Clinic. I followed her advice and I couldn’t have made a better or more timely decision.

After seeing the doctor, I began taking the shots and getting the information that I needed from the staff at AWLC. I learned how to eat by watching my caloric intake and that exercise and drinking water is a must!

At my heaviest, and upon starting with Advanced Weight Loss Clinics, I weighed 252 lbs. Beth Pennington AfterTo date, I’ve lost 40 lbs in 4 months, and dropped 2 blue jean sizes. Now at 212 lbs, I have more energy and motivation to work out than ever! My course hasn’t been without its obstacles (like ice cream and cake!) but the reward has been worth trudging through those tough weeks towards my goal.

With God as my guide and the encouragement from the staff at Advanced Weight Loss, I have begun a life changing journey that I will no doubt successfully complete!
